Sharing the S.A.Z. by telling you what was left out, which means this is an on-going research. The playfully attributed “Semi-Autonomous Zine” is an examination of the parasitical relations of print media as strategy and social practice. From an initial S.A.Z. workshop at Chinese University of Hong Kong in March 2018, a series of interviews and researches has led to this first report: “The Semi-Autonomous Zine: Charting Margins and Peripheries in Independent Publishing“, now published online at Asia Art Archive (中文版點這裡).

The beautifully produced WI-FI zine throwies were not discovered until after publishing the text, but be certain they will rebound in the very near future! Thank you to Infoshop Byulkkol in Seoul for introducing us to this super project.

More gratitude and 點點 to the following publishers, researchers and artists who have shared their knowledge and insights for the S.A.Z. text: Akhee AHN、Clara BALAGUER、Lena COBANGBANG、PARK Daham、Andrew GUTHRIE, Ali Rafiq IBRAHIM、Godwin KOAY、李俊 June LEE、李巨川 LI Juchuan, 麥巔 MAI Dian、NARITA Keisuke、Rahmawati NUR AZIZAH、Supamas PHAHULO、Zikri RAHMAN、Doni Yusuf Hidayat SINGADIKRAMA and 吳幼明 WU Youming.
