As Anja Westerfrölke, one of the members of FACES, noted, “i realized that archives are rather necessary for a better future than for remembering the past”. So yes, three days in Graz celebrating a fierce group on the margins, we begin slowly opening our eyes again to all that has been done. This, as a process in and of itself, is indeed a forward motion——like a manifesto——recalibrating, imbued with imminentness and empowering.
