HO on air, elsewheres

Elaine W. Ho’s “Nightwalker” tour pays homage to Marc Augé’s concept of the ‘non-place’ by treading the never-ending night time of transfers between Hong Kong, Bangkok, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, New York and Dallas. Real-time musings on airports, air conditioning, and being out of time and place amble through the anonymous, infinitely repeatable, and replaceable. Recorded end July – early August 2023 and commissioned by Extra Extra as part of the “Nightwalker” audio series, first aired on NTS radio on 10 September 2023.

Each iteration of Radio Elsewheres listens across geographies marked by genocide, displacement, and colonial violence, carrying these memories into a shared practice of listening and solidarity beyond borders.
